Il nostro intorno
La posizione di Casabella-Lago Maggiore sul territorio è invidiabile, non solo per il suo essere baricentrica ai grandi tesori della zona e ai suoi monumenti più importanti, ma anche per l’avere, nel suo immediato intorno tutto ciò che occorre per rendere comoda e piacevole la quotidianità dei suoi ospiti.
La nostra casa è infatti vicinissima a tre spiagge nelle quali è consentito fare il bagno nelle acque del lago, tutte dotate di doccia. In pochi minuti possono essere raggiuntea piedi.
Possono anche essere raggiunte a piedi in breve tempo tutte le seguenti mete:
- “Sporting Lesa”: una grande struttura, praticamente accanto a noi, presso la quale vi sono due piscine: una olimpionica con alti trampolini ed una per bambini; una attrezzatissima palestra, dei campi da tennis e padel sia all’aperto che al chiuso, un bar ed un ristorante gourmet. Vi è all’interno un parcheggio. Le strutture sono a pagamento, ma l’attraversamento del suo parco è accessibile a tutti per fare passeggiate
- Una delle tre spiagge vicine a Casabella vi è “Erno Beach” (proprio lì il fiume Erno sfocia nel lago), struttura gestita da privati con accesso a pagamento, dotata di sottofondo in sabbia. Ombrelloni e sdraio potranno essere affittati ad ore, come anche canoe e wind-surf. La struttura è dotata di bar e snack-bar, per cenare ed avere aperitivi, con musica, anche la sera
- Una buona pasticceria, “La Golosa”, prepara ogni mattina (chiuso il lunedì, verificare) ottime brioches, torte, pasticcini, con le bevande calde e fredde che le accompagnano. Ogni richiesta viene servita al banco, e, se vorrai, potrai gustarle al tavolo, sia all’interno che all’esterno, servendoti da solo.
- Il supermercato “Savoini” è ideale luogo per acquistare cibi e bevande d’ogni tipo, anche pre-cucinati e da asporto. Può essere raggiunto dagli ospiti di Casabella in 5 minuti a piedi, oppure in un minuto d’auto.
- “La Gina” è un buon bar per le colazioni lungo l’itinerario Nord per Belgirate, a 10 minuti da Casabella: ottima pasticceria e gelati fatti in casa (all’interno e all’esterno tra Lesa e Belgirate)
- “Anelli” è una buona gastronomia con cibi gustosi e pronti all’uso da consumare in riva al lago o da portare a casa. Si trova a Belgirate, a 3 minuti d’auto da Casabella, raggiungibile a piedi facendo una passeggiata di 10 minuti sul lungolago.
- Un attraente outlet è quello di Herno, raggiungibile in 6 minuti a piedi da Casabella sulla statale del Sempione, con abbigliamento d’alta qualità uomo-donna prodotto in Lesa, con marchio diffuso in tutto il mondo.
- Lexiapel è un outlet a pochi passi da noi, con raffinati prodotti di qualità italiana in pelle, fatti a mano, tipo cinture, guanti e borse.
- Per chi desidera andare a Messa è disponibile la Chiesa Parrocchiale di San Martino, a pochi passi da Casabella sulla strada tra la nostra Casa e il centro storico di Lesa (informarsi on-line sugli orari delle funzioni)
- Numerosi ristoranti, per tutte le esigenze, sono raggiungibili a piedi da Casabella. Molti al Centro Storico di Lesa, ed altri nella direzione di Solcio, od in collina. Essi sono (già citati con altri al capitolo “Il Territorio”): “Il Battipalo”, “Il Camino”, “la Riva”, “la Bruma sul lago”, il “Borgo San Giovanni”, “la Vecchia Scuola”, il “Campeggio” di Solcio.
- Tra i Mercati ambulanti settimanali, il più vicino a Casabella è quello del giovedì, a Lesa, davanti all’imbarcadero. Assai più ampi sono quelli del sabato, ad Intra, o del martedì ad Arona, anche se un poco più lontano.
- A Solcio di Lesa, presso il suo piccolo porto, la pescheria Brovelli offre piatti di pesce fresco di lago sul suo ristorante galleggiante.
- Belle passeggiate possono essere ideale passatempo per i nostri ospiti “sportivi”, verso Belgirate e Stresa (prendere al centro di Lesa la pedonale “Strada Regina”), oppure verso la collina, le strade per Comnago (fino al Monte Croce o al Golf Des Iles Borromée, un’ora e più di cammino).
- Al centro di Lesa vi è la casa di vacanza dello scrittore italiano Alessandro Manzoni, e, subito dietro, il piccolo ma interessante Museo manzoniano (che può essere visitato su appuntamento).
- Per spostarsi, oltre all’auto (che generalmente può contare su strade facilmente percorribili e poco trafficate, e su parcheggi spesso disponibili), sono accessibilissime, da Casabella, le linee di Bus, del treno, e del trasporto Taxi. Le fermate del Bus sono a 3 minuti a piedi da noi, sulla statale del Sempione, con passaggi estivi con cadenza oraria. La stazione ferroviaria è a 5-6 minuti a piedi, con treni generalmente a cadenza semi-oraria. Il servizio Taxi è disponibile a tutte le ore.
Nelle camere di Casabella-Lago Maggiore abbiamo predisposto una brochure che riporta le mete più consigliate o più richieste, anche ad una ragionevole distanza d’auto, e non solo a piedi.
Our neighborhood
The position of Casabella-Lago Maggiore in the area is enviable, not only for its central location to the great treasures of the area and its most important monuments, but also for having, in its immediate surroundings, everything needed to make the daily life of its guests comfortable and enjoyable.
In fact, our house is very close to three beaches where bathing in the lake waters is allowed, all equipped with showers. They can be reached on foot in just a few minutes.
The following destinations can also be reached on foot in a short time:
- "Sporting Lesa": a large facility, practically next to us, where there are two pools: an Olympic one with high diving boards and one for children; a well-equipped gym, tennis and padel courts both outdoor and indoor, a bar, and a gourmet restaurant. There is a parking lot inside. The facilities are at an extra cost, but crossing its park is accessible to everyone for walks.
- One of the three beaches near Casabella is "Erno Beach" (right where the Erno river flows into the lake), a structure managed by private individuals with paid access, equipped with a sandy bottom. Umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented by the hour, as well as canoes and windsurfing equipment. The facility has a bar and snack bar for dinner and drinks, with music, even in the evening.
- A good pastry shop, "La Golosa," prepares excellent croissants, cakes, pastries every morning (closed on Mondays, please verify), with hot and cold drinks to accompany them. Each order is served at the counter, and if you wish, you can enjoy them at the table, both inside and outside, serving yourself.
- The supermarket "Savoini" is an ideal place to buy all kinds of food and drinks, including pre-cooked and takeaway options. It can be reached by guests of Casabella in 5 minutes on foot, or in one minute by car.
- "La Gina" is a good bar for breakfast along the North itinerary to Belgirate, 10 minutes from Casabella: excellent pastries and homemade ice creams (inside and outside between Lesa and Belgirate).
- "Anelli" is a good gastronomy with tasty and ready-to-eat foods to enjoy by the lake or to take home. It is located in Belgirate, 3 minutes by car from Casabella, reachable on foot by taking a 10-minute walk along the lakeside.
- An attractive outlet is the Herno outlet, reachable in 6 minutes on foot from Casabella on the Sempione road, with high-quality men's and women's clothing produced in Lesa, with a brand known worldwide.
- Lexiapel is an outlet just a few steps away from us, with refined Italian leather products, handmade, such as belts, gloves, and bags.
- For those who wish to attend Mass, the Parish Church San Martino is available just a few steps away from Casabella, on the road between our house and the historic center of Lesa (check online for the schedule of services).
- Numerous restaurants, catering to all tastes, are within walking distance from Casabella. Many are located in the historic center of Lesa, while others are in the direction of Solcio or up on the hill. Some of these include (already mentioned along with others in the chapter "The Area"): "Il Battipalo", "Il Camino", "La Riva", "La Bruma sul lago", "Borgo San Giovanni", "La Vecchia Scuola", and "Campeggio" in Solcio.
- Among the weekly open-air markets, the closest to Casabella is the one on Thursdays in Lesa, in front of the pier. The markets on Saturdays in Intra or on Tuesdays in Arona are much larger, although slightly farther away.
- In Solcio di Lesa, near its small port, the Brovelli fish market offers fresh lake fish dishes at its floating restaurant.
- Beautiful walks can be an ideal pastime for our "sporty" guests, towards Belgirate and Stresa (taking the pedestrian "Strada Regina" at the center of Lesa), or up the hill, along the roads to Comnago (up to Monte Croce or Golf Des Iles Borromée, an hour or more of walking).
- At the center of Lesa, there is the holiday home of the Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni, and just behind it, the small but interesting Manzoni Museum (which can be visited by appointment).
- For transportation, in addition to the car (which generally benefits from easily passable and lightly trafficked roads, with parking often available), the bus lines, trains, and taxi services are easily accessible from Casabella. The bus stops are a 3-minute walk from us on the Sempione highway, with summer services running hourly. The train station is a 5-6 minute walk away, with trains generally running semi-hourly. Taxi service is available at all times.
